Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
