Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known extent. 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
