Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 and the severally severing 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
