The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
