The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 and gently take it away; 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And those who govern the event, 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 and say [unto him,] 'Art thou desirous of attaining to purity? 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
