The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 And who glide with ease. 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 And thereupon God took him to task, [and made him] a warning example in the life to come as well as in this world. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
