The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
