The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 by those that swim serenely 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 Lo! His Sustainer called out to him in the twice-hallowed valley: 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
