The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 surely, your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
