The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the pluckers (the angels of death), violently plucking (the souls of the unbelievers), 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 By the angels hastening, 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 Followed by oft-repeated (commotions): 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 [And yet,] some say: "What! Are we indeed to be restored to our former state 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
