▼ 79 The Snatchers
Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
Are ye harder to create or the heaven which He hath builded? 27 He raised it high and leveled it, 28 Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendour doth He bring out (with light). 29 And the earth, He expanded it after that. 30 produced water and grass therefrom, 31 And stabilized the mountains 32 All this was done as a means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 33 But when the Great Catastrophe comes, 34 The Day whereon man shall remember whatsoever he had striven for. 35 And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see - 36 Then, for such as had transgressed all bounds, 37 And preferred the life of this world (by following his evil desires and lusts), 38 Then indeed hell only is his destination. 39 But, whosoever feared the standing before his Lord and prevented the self from desires, 40 Lo! the Garden will be his home. 41 They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival? 42 Why (ask they)? What hast thou to tell thereof? 43 Unto thy Lord is the final end of it. 44 You are only a warner to him who has a fear of it. 45 On the day that they see it, it will be as though they had not tarried but the latter part of a day or the early part of it. 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
