He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 Or be admonished, and the admonition profit him? 4 Now as for him who believes himself to be self-sufficient 5 So you are after him! 6 though it is not thy concern, if he does not cleanse himself. 7 But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge] 8 And is also fearful (of God), 9 From him will you divert yourself. 10 Indeed, this [Quran] is an admonition. 11 So let him who pleases mind it. 12 It is contained in scrolls highly honoured, 13 most exalted and purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 Noble and pious. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 Of what did He create him? 18 From a drop of liquid; He created him and then set several measures for him. 19 Then He eased the way for him; 20 then causes him to die and buries him, 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 Nay, but man did not fulfil what Allah had enjoined upon him. 23 Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food. 24 It is We Who pour forth water, pouring, 25 and let the earth to break open 26 to yield therein corn, 27 And grapes and clover plants (i.e. green fodder for the cattle), 28 And olives and palms 29 and burgeoning enclosed gardens 30 and fruits and herbage, 31 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. 32 But, when the Blast comes, 33 on that Day each person will flee from his brother, 34 his mother and his father, 35 his wife and his sons: 36 on that Day each will be occupied with his own business, making him oblivious of all save himself. 37 Faces on that Day shall be beaming, 38 laughing and joyful, 39 And many will be dust-begrimed, 40 Blackness will cover them. 41 Those, they are the unbelievers, the immoral. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
