He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ The Prophet frowned and turned away 1 Because there came unto him a blind man. 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 Or be admonished, and the admonition profit him? 4 As to one who regards Himself as self-sufficient, 5 So you are after him! 6 What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). 7 And to him who came to you eagerly 8 and fearfully, 9 you pay him no heed. 10 No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder; 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 In honored books, 13 Exalted (in dignity), purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 noble and most virtuous. 16 Accursed be man! How stubbornly he denies the Truth. 17 Of what [stuff] has He created him? 18 From a drop of liquid; He created him and then set several measures for him. 19 Then doth He make His path smooth for him; 20 Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave, 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again). 22 But no. He has not fulfilled what was enjoined on him. 23 Let man look at his food: 24 We poured down rain abundantly, 25 Then split the earth in clefts 26 then caused the grain to grow out of it, 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 And dense gardens, 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock. 32 But, when the Blast comes, 33 On that day man will run away from his brother. 34 And his mother and his father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 on that Day every man among them will have enough concern of his own -- 37 (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, 38 laughing, joyous; 39 And many a face will be covered with dust on that day. 40 enveloped by darkness. 41 They will be the unbelievers, transgressors. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
