The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 and brightening morning, 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Where then will you go? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
