The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
When the sun is folded up, 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
