The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 And when the books are spread, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
