The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
