Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 And when the stars darken, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 And when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 by the night when it approaches 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 So where are you going? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
