Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 noble recorders, 11 who know all that you do: 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
