Al-Infitaar

Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 noble, recording, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19

God the Almighty always says the truth.
