Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
