Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
