Al-Infitaar

Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
