Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 watching over you 11 who know all that you do: 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
