Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Honorable recorders, 11 Who know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
