Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble scribes 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
