Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Generous and recording, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 to burn therein. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
