Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Honorable recorders, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
