Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know all that you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
