Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble, writers 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
