The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 By the Promised Day! 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
