Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble, writers 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
