The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the sky (bespangled) with the signs of the Zodiac, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
