The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
