The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
