The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 by the Promised Day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
