The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
