The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 and is no idle tale. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
