Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
