The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
