The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 The piercing star! 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
