Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 And no trifle. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
