The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
