The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 It is the piercing star - 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
