The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 Therefore give them some respite give them some time. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
