The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By heaven and the night-star! 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 and so am I: 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
