The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 it is no merriment. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
