The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 Therefore give them some respite – give them some time. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.
