The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Almighty God's Truth.
