Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He was created of spurting water 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.
